Titan Energy – RICE NESHAP Compliance Testing, Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Titan Energy – RICE NESHAP Compliance Testing, Eden Prairie, Minnesota

When the EPA made changes to compliance regulations for air toxics standards for reciprocating internal combustion engines, AET helped Titan Energy meet the new standards for the generators used to produce electricity in the manufacturing facilities of Titan Energy.

For Titan Energy, the final step toward meeting the new RICE NESHAP compliance regulations was the EPA Performance test. Through these tests, Titan hoped to demonstrate Carbon Monoxide (CO) reductions to below 23 PPM — a 70 percent reduction of CO, from existing engines emissions.

AET worked with Titan to plan and monitor the installation of specialty catalysts on their generators. After dozens of completed Performance Tests, they are achieving reductions in CO of over 90 percent at 8 PPM CO or less.
