Please join us in welcoming Matthew Semerad to Team AET as a Principal Project Manager in our Construction Services Group!
Matthew joined AET in October, bringing with him over 25 years of experience in construction management, safety, quality, and workforce education across the United States and Canada. Since entering the industry in 1998, he has held a variety of roles, including field engineer, project manager, regional quality manager, and director of safety services.
Before joining AET, Matthew led statewide safety and education initiatives for the Associated General Contractors of Minnesota (AGC of MN). There, he directed the CHASE Partnership with MNOSHA and co-authored the national revision of AGC of America’s Supervisory Training Program (STP). He continues to teach the STP program in the evenings, sharing his deep expertise in technical practices, leadership, quality, and communication with construction professionals across the country.
In his new role, Matthew will leverage his broad industry experience and strong contractor relationships to expand AET’s service offerings, strengthen client engagement, and enhance the integration of technical innovation with quality and safety performance.
Outside of work, Matthew is an avid outdoorsman and former Eagle Scout who embraces the spirit of adventure. Whether camping on a frozen Minnesota lake in search of the perfect walleye or sailing the Caribbean aboard the catamaran Out of Office, he enjoys fishing, snorkeling, and e-foiling. He is also in the final stages of earning his U.S. Coast Guard intercoastal captain’s license.
We are excited to have Matthew on board and look forward to the impact he will make. Welcome, Matthew, to Team AET!
