Working together to build a more certain world

American Engineering Testing (AET) provides geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, building technology, environmental consulting, forensics, petrography/chemistry, and specialized laboratory services. We help reduce uncertainty on your horizontal or vertical construction project through our investigations, testing, analysis, and design services.

Our technical professionals care passionately about delivering accurate information and innovative solutions with an unbiased perspective. Steering you in the right direction before problems happen, collaborating with your team, and earning your trust is what matters most to us.

Whether it’s international clients in need of our specialized laboratory services or national clients requiring quick mobilization to multiple project sites, our engineers, geologists, and scientists, based in offices located across the Upper Midwest and Wyoming, are ready to meet the challenge.

Established Dependability

Since 1971, our teams have partnered with agricultural, commercial, energy, telecommunication, transportation, federal government, and state/local clients to deliver services critical to the success of construction, rehabilitation, renovation, and redevelopment projects. These market sectors and others depend on engineering consulting and testing capabilities that are field-proven regardless of location or project challenges. Fifty-years in and still going strong, AET uses our extensive experience and technical expertise to help clients succeed on their projects – from design to delivery.

Safety and Quality

There is no compromising work quality or employee safety. AET fosters a culture that recognizes the interdependency and importance of both elements in order to provide exceptional service to our clients. Each employee is provided with extensive safety training and provided the in-house resources they need to pursue the highest standards.

Our internal quality assurance program is audited and follows documented standards for our industry. AET also utilizes continuous improvement practices for all health and safety guidelines. These include training each team member to recognize dangers, mitigate hazards, implement best practices, and minimize environmental impacts.

In line with our emphasis on learning, AET donates to trade association scholarship funds and supports organized events that foster students’ interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities.

AET employees are also actively involved with professional and trade organizations and the technical committees that develop and establish testing and technical standards for our industry.

We are also actively involved in professional communities and hold board and committee positions in engineering, materials, construction trade associations and technical organizations.
