As an AET client, you will have a senior environmental specialist assigned to serve as your client manager. This client manager will be your main contact throughout the project. As new projects come up, we feel it is critical that the same person continue to stay intimately involved in your environmental compliance needs. This designated client manager will be responsible for drawing on other AET professionals, if additional expertise is needed.

Environmental Compliance Audits
If you are in the process of planning your new business, expanding your business, adding to your operations or have identified a potential compliance issue, we will work with you to determine applicable regulatory requirements and help develop an environmental compliance program. AET has developed a comprehensive Environmental Compliance Checklist to assist with the process, based on your site operations, and can confirm a facility’s compliance and/or assist with bringing operations into compliance.
Air Emissions Permits and Compliance
AET air emissions professionals can assist with the preparation of air emissions permits for both major and minor sources, prepare air emissions inventories, develop equipment specific emission factors, perform emissions sampling and monitoring in accordance with existing permits We will also be your liaison with air emission permits and compliance regulators.
Wastewater Discharge Permit Compliance
AET has the expertise and equipment to sample wastewater discharges to confirm you are meeting permit requirements. This includes facilities that discharge to local wastewater treatment systems (pre-treatment or direct discharge) as well as facilities permitted to discharge directly to surface waters (pre-treatment or direct). We also perform reporting required by your permit and provide insight into any modifications to the permit that may be beneficial.
Industrial Stormwater Management and Permit Compliance
Industries that are listed under specific business codes are required to apply for coverage under the appropriate Multi-Sector Stormwater Permit. We assist with a facility’s application for coverage, prepare the required Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, help select Best Management Practices, and perform sampling and reporting required by a facility’s permit.
Construction Stormwater Management and Permit Compliance
Construction sites disturbing over one acre of land are required to apply for and obtain permit coverage under the required Construction Stormwater Permit Program. Our environmental compliance specialists hold certifications in the design and site management of erosion and sediment control best management practices. We assist with the application for coverage, prepare the required Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, help select Best Management Practices, and perform sampling and reporting required by a facility’s permit.
Preparation and Implementation of SPCC and Facility Response Plans
Facilities that store large quantities of oil or oil products in ways that could impact surface waters if a spill were to occur, may be subject to Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan (SPCC) and Facility Response Plan requirements under federal and local regulations. We are available to prepare the required plans, assist with plan implementation, and serve as your regulatory agency liaison.
Solid and Hazardous Waste Management
Whether it is hazardous waste, special waste or other industrial solid waste, many commercial and industrial facilities generate waste that need to be properly stored and disposed of, in accordance with regulatory requirements. AET Certified Hazardous Materials Managers (CHMMs) and other environmental professionals will assist you with the proper management, tracking, disposal and documentation of your waste streams. AET can also assist with training and facility plan preparation.
