AET is excited to welcome industry expert, Richard (Rick) Froberg to their team as their Building Technology Division Manager. In his role, Rick will support the Building Technology team in the company’s corporate office in St. Paul as well as expand the company’s service offerings across their offices, focusing on the expansion of their building envelope services.

With the addition of Rick as our Building Technology Division Manager, we are continuing to grow one of our key specialty service lines,” said AET CEO Dan Larson, P.E. “Rick’s unique perspective as an architect complements the current departmental leadership and skillset. His experience as a strategic leader and business unit builder will allow us to accelerate our growth in this area and better serve our valued business partners.”
Froberg is a licensed professional architect with over 25 years of experience in consulting services. He first found himself in the industry when, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from the University of Minnesota, he was offered a summer internship with a local engineering firm’s roofing department. According to Froberg, “after that summer, I realized this was the industry I wanted to be in, I wanted to work with a variety of clients, building owners, and engineers to solve potential building envelope issues.”
Always the problem solver, Froberg has established himself as the go-to resource when it comes to building envelopes and roofing. He has been the recipient of many industry awards including both the RCI North American Large Roof Replacement Project Award for IDS Tower and the RCI North American Small Roof Replacement Award for the University of Minnesota Morris Humanities Fine Arts Building in 2017 and the RCI North American Forensic Report Award for the Mason City Municipal Airport in 2018.
Rick Froberg is a registered Architect in Wisconsin, South Dakota, Colorado and Arizona, a Registered Roof Consultant and LEEP AP certified. He is an active member of the Roof Consultants Institute (RCI) and the American Institute of Architects.
