We are pleased to welcome experienced engineer Marijean Hoppe, P.E. to our team as East Region Manager. While she will be based out of our Wausau, WI, office, Hoppe will be responsible for the management of our Green Bay, Wausau, Chippewa Falls, and Duluth offices. She will be responsible for planning, organizing and directing services offered by AET’s East Region offices. “We are excited to have someone with Marijean’s credentials and experience joining our leadership team,” said COO, Robert Elliott. “Her ability to deliver solutions to complex client problems and create growth opportunities for the East Region will continue the legacy of our offices in the region.”

Hoppe joins AET with over 25 years in the engineering industry having worked at the Ohio Department of Transportation, ms consultants, REI Engineering and Becher Hoppe Engineering as the V.P. of Operations. Most recently her family supported her efforts to serve FEMA’s hurricane disaster recovery for six months as a site inspector crew lead in Florida. Originally from Ohio, Hoppe first became interested in civil engineering when she built a balsa wood bridge to compete in a high school competition, her design took her to the top 10, from there she was hooked. After high school, Hoppe attended The Ohio State University and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering and started her engineering career as a traffic, roadway and site civil engineer.

Throughout her career, Hoppe has worked throughout the civil engineering disciplines, gaining experience in the various fields including planning, design, project management and construction services for site, utility, highway, and airport projects serving private developers, municipalities, DFDM, WisDOT/Bureau of Aeronautics. This experience has given her the opportunity to lead and complete major projects in Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin including the Central Wisconsin Airport and Wausau West Industrial Park – Business Campus Expansion projects.

Looking to the future, Hoppe has her eyes on ways to further expand AET’s reach and stay on the leading edge. “I am excited about AET’s future,” she said. “AET has a strong reputation in the market as the experts to work with and I look forward to bringing our expertise to even more project partners.” Driven to pay-it-forward mentoring she received in her career, Hoppe is passionate about her team’s development. “I enjoy the opportunity to help our team grow personally and professionally”, commented Hoppe. “Especially because that growth never stops at just that individual, but is transferred to their family, friends, colleagues and communities. Teams that serve, encourage and challenge each other are the most successful.” She can be reached at mmhoppe@amengtest.com.
